1. What is the history of GIA’s Benelux regional office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands?

Global Intelligence Alliance’s (GIA) representation in the Netherlands began as DeskResearch Nederland in 1998. The company worked for an international clientele in a broad range of industries. DeskResearch Nederland became a GIA Member company in 2003 and eventually officially merged with Global Intelligence Alliance in October 2008. As a result, the company was renamed into Global Intelligence Alliance Benelux in January 2009.

With the merger, clients in the Benelux received immediate access to efficient research and in-depth intelligence across the globe, specialists with local market and industry expertise who understand their clients’ businesses and a single partner to provide the full range of customized Market Intelligence and related consulting services.

Today, GIA in Amsterdam acts as the Global Intelligence Alliance Benelux regional office covering Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands.

We assist companies with deep dive research identifying their competitor developments and plans, as well as analyzing their own and customer’s industries and markets. Our consultants also increasingly advising on social media monitoring (also known as social media intelligence).
