Global Intelligence Alliance’s (GIA) representation in Florida in the United States of America began through a collaboration with GIA Member, Americas Market Intelligence (AMI) in 2011.
Americas Market Intelligence was founded by John Price, Guillaume Corpart and Ivan Pineda in 2010, with the aim of helping businesses understand Latin American markets through its sales offices in Miami and Mexico City.
Americas Market Intelligence provides global corporations with market intelligence, competitive intelligence, market research and business climate intelligence services across Latin America and the US state of Florida.
Representing GIA in Florida, Americas Market Intelligence brings twenty years of experience studying hemispheric competitive intelligence and market intelligence challenges on behalf of clients from all over the world. Our team has collectively led over 1,000 client engagements as consultants since 1992, conducted hundreds of thousands of market interviews in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French across the Americas, and profiled hundreds of competitor companies on behalf of our clients.
Clients benefit from our experience working together with large companies around the globe, as illustrated in our case studies. In addition, clients can access over 1,000 industry experts through GIA’s global network, which spans over entire value chains in 11 industries:

Americas Market Intelligence (AMI) monitors three major competitors of their client, a leading consumer goods manufacturer, across several Latin American markets. This enables our client to remain up-to-date on the competition’s pricing, product offering, distribution strategy and new initiatives. As a result, our client can better differentiate their own offering, win share through a more competitive position and anticipate serious threats. Monitoring is conducted through interviews with the competition’s network of distributors in each market.
In another case, AMI recently completed a cost structure benchmark analysis in Mexico of five different competitors to a leading manufacturer of industrial components. Our results revealed that our client operated at 10% to 15% above the average competitor’s costs, which helped explain their recent loss of market share. Our client will redouble efforts to shave costs, drawing upon the best practices of the studied competition in order to achieve better market pricing.
In a third case, AMI recently finished a best practices benchmark analysis of 10 leading banks across Latin America in order to determine how each bank could optimize its operations. The analysis will enable them to pursue specific consulting engagements with the banks so they can help correct some of the failing approaches of each institution.
