Customer Event in Riga, Latvia
On January 12, GIA participated in a customer event themed “What’s Happening in World Markets?”, organized by GIA Member, Gateway Baltic, in the lovely city of Riga in Latvia. Over 100 participants listened to speakers from GIA as they presented the business opportunities available in emerging markets such as Brazil, Russia, China and rest of Asia.
The three-hour seminar kicked off with a short introduction by Inese Andersone, Exeutive Director of GatewayBaltic, and was even featured in the leading Latvian business daily newspaper, Dienas Bizness.
Said one participant, George Rubenis, Marketing Manager of Skybrake, “It was a pleasure to meet speakers from the different regional GIA offices - listening to Brazilians about Brazil, hearing about China from a GIA expert from Shanghai, about South Africa from a GIA expert from South Africa, about Japan from a Japanese … gives us confidence of what GIA does and how they work. The presentations helped us understand the expected regional forecasts, and encourage us to look for detailed information about several markets and confirmed our recent research about markets as well. It was a pleasure to see such professionalism! The compact format and style of presentations gave the essence of the information without any verbosity. I am very glad that GatewayBaltic – the organizers of this seminar and partners of GIA – invited us to this event. I can only suggest collaborating with GatewayBaltic and GIA, and attending their events!”
