One of the recent development initiatives in the GIA Research and Analysis offering has been to divide content projects into two categories, Rapid Response Research and Strategic Analysis, to reflect the fact that research and analysis projects typically vary from very simple information requests all the way to complex and strategic multi-country analysis projects.
Says Jan Kovero, Senior Vice President, Intelligence Services at GIA Group: “Based on our experience in regularly delivering customized research and analysis assignments for our customers, we concluded that it makes sense to bring it more visible in our offering that research projects actually differ quite a lot from analysis projects.”
Kovero continues: “At GIA we conduct both simple information retrieval assignments and sizable analysis projects, but wanted to underline how different processes and resources these projects require. Consequently, in our Rapid Response Research offering the emphasis is on the information retrieval process efficiency and a quick project turnaround time. On the other hand, Strategic Analysis projects call for extensive needs analysis and scoping at the beginning of the work, and will also demand high level analysis techniques and insights into different industries in order for the final report to yield the best results for the customer. In practice of course there are also projects that combine elements from both simple research and strategic analysis.”
